Quick Trip to Branson and Springfield, Missouri

We’re about 2 hours south of Branson, Missouri, and Terry’s birthday is coming up and is on a Saturday, and he likes to get out and drive places so I guess we’ll be heading up there. It started as a trip to the Bass Pro Shop in Springfield, Missouri, but then I see that they have a Bass Pro Shop in Branson which is half an hour closer. Then, Freddy says that the Springfield Bass Pro Shop is way bigger and better. So, I don’t know if we’re going to head on up to Springfield or not, but there is a Joe’s Crab Shack in Branson, and it’s across the road from the Bass Pro Shop, and Terry loves him some Joe’s Crab Shack.

Dinosaur Walk Museum is in Branson. Weird hours listed on this one: “Open daily at 9:00” — $10 for adults, $9 for children. We went to the other Dinosaur Walk in Pigeon Forge, TN. It was nice. It’s inside, and there are lots of life sized dinosaurs. They also have some sort of haunted house there, too. (site has coupon)

The Butterfly Palace and Rainforest Adventure is also in Branson and open 9-5 daily. Kind of expensive at $19 for adults and $10 for children. Butterfly aviary, rainforest science center, and mirror maze. (site has coupon)

Branson has an IMAX theatre. I have to be honest. I don’t really understand the whole IMAX thing. (site has coupon)

Cosmic Cavern is on the way, in Berryville, Arkansas.

Discovery Center of Springfield
Friday – Saturday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, $9 adult, $7 children
Some kind of science center… They have a high wire bike ride! Scout badges!

Yeah, so we didn’t make it to Missouri. A birthday party came up at the last minute. I still haven’t gotten a Missouri geocache…
